You need to upload the sound file and then embed it into your myspace so that it automatically runs upon the page load
If you have limitted skill with computers i suggest you look around for one of them player apps which basically does that for you
you can go on to project playlist create an account and you can have as many songs as you want on your myspace once you get the code

I know it sounds like a weaselly way of doing things, but find someone with a sound close to yours, and try to add them as your friend. If people see your profile on that page then they will be more inclined to go to your page. If for nothing better than just being curious. If other bands like you, then the chances of getting signed increase as well. A lot of "unheard ofs" and local bands sign bands themselves, so just try to get the attention you need by making new friends...

Well i would suggest to go on your other account if you have one and post bulletins about your music...or you could make a banner and have people put it on there page and people will evenutally end up clicking the banner...and go to your music page...

that happens to me sometimes.. but not to
my computer.. it just freezes the page and stays white.
and i even have dsl, fast internet.
just try refreshing the page if its taking too long.
if that doesnt fix anything, it might have to do with

When I watch videos on youtube and myspace.
Supposedly there is some sort of buffer overrun problem with FLV files that can crash your computer or could allow malicious script to run...
They suggested that you upgrade your Adobe Flash player, but I upgraded mine and I'm still crashing. :(

Well if your trying to put music on a music profile you have to go to edit profile and then click on add and edit songs. It will ask you to upload songs the same way you do for any pictures you would upload. and to put a layout you do it the same way as a regular profile just click edit profile and in the (About Me:) section copy and paste the code there and save it.

You want to post a new song? One that you own the copyright to? Or one that you have permission from the copyright holder to publish? If not - you can expect the same problem all over.

the song takes 24 hours to upload, and when you dont have a song on there theres no music player once so you have to wait 24 hours for the song to upload and the music player will show.
i have the flash player updated and it only works when i take out the code, that hides the player.

Have you checked the player when your code is not on your profile? My myspace was doing that for awhile untill i realized that my song was no longer working period
Maybe its because you have the settings wrong? If you go to misalanious under account settings then check automatically start my music player, it might work. Or, just use this to hide it instead of the other code.

You can find songs and make a playlist of your favorite songs. Then, you just copy and paste the link into your MySpace profile.
You can use this option to put as many songs as you want on myspace. If you download the songs in mp3 format on your computer, you can go to a music file uploading site, such as ripway.com (the accounts are free) and upload the song you want. Next, after uploading it, go to your files list on ripway and it should display a url underneath it.
Go to myflashfetish.com (you may have to sign up for that too, but it's free anyways) and select an mp3 flash player from their list of different styles. Next, it'll tell you to fill in the playlist entries with a url and a song name. Type the name in yourself and copy/paste the url from the ripway song file to the myflashfetish playlist. Once you have the song(s) for your playlist, click create and it'll give you the code for you to paste in your profile editor. Complex sounding, but it's actually pretty easy! Hope this helps!!

I have gone into my account settings and unchecked "Auto-start profile and band music players. " and yet people's music play.. it plays at about 10 times louder than whatever I happen to be listening to (very annoying).. How do I stop it?
That only applies to your player.
The only things you can do are:
Not go to their profile
-or-
Turn your volume down.
Hmm, Yeah it is annoying but that usually doesn't happen to me (the 10 times louder thing). But sometimes i forget to lower my volume when i get to a page and it blows my ears out. Lower your volume for a second and pause their music. Then turn your music back up!

Correct, but to upload your own music from your computer you have to have an Official Music Myspace account.
Log in to Myspace, click the Music link right next to Comedy.
Then click "Directory" and search for a band.
A band page will usually have songs available, listen for the song you want, then click the "Add" button next to that song title on the right of the screen, and it'll be added to your profile.

if u have this song on iTunes or whatever music player u have at home u can go to a website called imeem.com and upload it to the website. U create a free account (takes 2 seconds) and then u can upload and create ur own playlist on the website. Once uve done this they give u a code to paste ur playlist onto ur myspace profile and ur playlist plays automatically when people view ur profile. hope this helped. If u dont do this then u cant put one of ur own mp3s on ur myspace profile unless u create a music myspace. but if u create a music myspace then u have to upload ur own music that uve made, it cant be from another artist. Ur best bet is to go with the imeem.com profile music player.

You might have accidentaly signed up for the normal signup, or you might not have entered it in the search engine right.
It may be that MySpace has recognized you as a user, rather than a band.
Wait a while, sometimes it takes some time for them to recognize you as both.

Go to "edit profile"
and on one of those, you'll find the code.
Delete it, and save.

This is a tricky question. In short, no. There isn't any way you can get your songs onto myspace. However, there is a way. If the song files are made by a singer, it is illigal. If you made them, you can put them up. You have to put a html code on your profile. If you search in google for "background music html code" and then you will find directions to do that. Once you have the code set up, you would have to put the code in any one of the categorys when updating your profile.
The title is pretty much the jist of it... but it had html codes that you can place on your myspace and the song will play over and over.

Hello, if you already have a youtube account, then it's pretty easy:
go to youtube, login, then click on the right on UPLOAD then you'll probably have to send yourself a confirmation email by clicking on a button, you go to your email and click the link in the email, now your youtube account is ready to upload!
Click on upload and now you'll have to enter information about the video, then press SUBMIT then on next screen you will have to upload the video by selecting the video file on your computer, then press submit. Now you have to wait for the upload to finish.. And you're done!

To be honest, I LOVE all types of music, and I felt like I had to be labeled as a certain type of person, for only being able to add ONE song to Myspace... Go to www.videocodezone.com and open an html on your myspace and use one of the codes of the music videos and paste it into the html and there you have your music video on your page.
iTunes are in mp4, they need to be in mp3 format. Try doing a Google search for "mp3 to mp4 converter." I believe iTunes stores the songs in your computer (if you're using a PC) in My Documents/My Music/iTunes/iTunes Music. Then you open the mp4 file from within the converter program (which you have to download from the internet). It'll export the file as an mp3, then you can upload. Be careful for copyright infringement.

you sign off of your Myspace, then you never sign back on. That way, you no longer have the social status of a complete loser

I hope this is what you wanted. there is also a music player you can download for your myspace page for that you have to find one on someone elses page and follow the link on the player.
If you want a music page you can set one up, you just register for yahoo as a musician and you can have a page like that with the music player. The easiest way to keep your page and have more music is to use a myspace MP3 player. I'll add a link to it and also to a file storage site, you'll have to upload your songs you want first and then put them on your play and then put your player on your myspace. Its all very simple, just takes a while to do.

When I go to a music profile the box with the 4 tracks appears as normal but at the top where the name of the selected track is displayed it just says connecting, but never actually connects. Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me?
I had the same problem, I would pick a song, and the thing would never play or connect or all of a sudden the artist deleted it or something. So I changed my player and I am now using, http://www.projectplaylist.com - it allows you to create a playlist of any song that you can find online. What I particularly like best about this feature is that you can add as many songs as you would like, pick the color, place it anywhere in your profile and update it easily. (www.myspace.com/amyfromsc - you can check mine out as an example, and just hit the "create playlist" tab at the bottom)

You can't. Limewire is a P2P transferring program, not a storage service from where MySpace could access your songs.

As far as I know, the songs have to be in mp3 format. I did one not realizing it was wma and it wouldn't play.
Limewire is dangerous to use in itself, nevermind the fines you can get if you are found by the government downloading music illegally.
Viruses/adware/trojans/spyware/etc. may be embedded in your music, so watch what your file extensions are.

iight, when your finished downloading a song...click and hold that song, and push it over to your WMP, and once you've transfered it to the WMP, just right click it and open up the properties and copy the little thingy that says were this file is located....

You have a MySpace Music profile ..right? Well, if you don't click on the music button on the top of the page. Then, on the top right in red, it says Artist Signup. Click that, and sign up.
Then, take the song you got from Limewire, and drag it to your desktop.
Then, on your music myspace profile, click on edit profile. Then click on manage songs. Then upload your song, remember when you are uploading it, you have to get it from your desktop.
Then you can add the song from your music page to your normal page.
